Picture this, our Kia Sportage, with Mike and I in the front seats. Boo in the dogs crate in the back seat, along with four bins of our stuff. And the Iggy’s sharing the back of the Kia with an ice chest.Okay, now that the laughter has stopped we will share our 4 day trip from West Linn Oregon (A on the map above) to Aurora Colorado (J)! We stared on June 1, 2009 at about noon.
Our first stop along the way was Multnomah Falls (http://www.multnomahfalls.org/). If you have not been recently, you need to do so and plan on walking to the top! We of course did not want to leave Boo in the car too long so we did not walk to the top. We just took in the sight from the bottom and got back on the road.
Our next stop was at the Full Sail Brewing Company in Hood River for lunch. We sure wish we could have stayed the night in Hood River.
Our first night was spent in Baker City, Oregon at a haunted hotel!!!! We stayed at the Geiser Grand Hotel. What a stay. http://www.geisergrand.com/ .
Tuesday we had a picnic lunch prepared by the Geiser Grand Hotel in Boise, Idaho.
Next we drove to Twin Falls, Idaho. We stayed at the Comfort Inn. While there we saw BASE Jumping and the Falls.
We then had lunch in Ogden, Utah.
Our last night on the road was spent in Wyoming. Not at Little America or Green River but in Rock Springs. We did however enjoy the Holiday Inn Express where we stayed.
Before heading into Colorado, we had to find one thing in Wyoming we liked, so we stopped in Laramie and had lunch.
We made it to our home at about 3:30PM MST on Thursday. Just in time for the prior homeowner to show up...
