After a few months of uncertainty, we now know what has been causing Rocky's seizures. He has Hydrocephalus. What is that you might ask. It is a neurological disease in which there is excessive accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) within the ventricular system of the brain. AKA - water on the brain. This is a congenital defect and is common in toy breeds. His case is not very serious and we plan to treat his seizures with Potassium Bromide indefinitely. Overall, we are very pleased with this diagnosis. It was the best $1777 we have sent... yes that is the price for a doggy MRI nowadays... YIKES!! Here is to my handsome boys!!!
